Message from President

Health and mental health well-being are cornerstones of flourishing societies and are central to social work’s commitment to human rights and equitable access. The 11th International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health, hosted in India, will continue the global dialogue among experts, educators, practitioners, researchers, and students on social work’s critical role in bridging health and mental health systems with people’s need for care. This space for dialogue will provide opportunities to explore the impact of global health and mental health challenges on individuals, families, and communities, and to strengthen partnerships to develop innovative solutions that advance equitable access and inclusive systems for diverse contexts.

The expected outcomes of the conference will contribute to a renewed global commitment to inclusive, culturally relevant, and community-based approaches that improve access to services and inform social work education, practice, research, and policy towards comprehensive and sustainable well-being.

As a conference partner and committed to advancing health and mental health equity, the International Association of Schools of Social Work invites the global social work community to engage, collaborate, and contribute to co-building inclusive and sustainable futures for all.
